Induction and integration

During your first year at VINCI Construction Maritime et Fluvial, you will be accompanied by a referee.

This person will guide you and impart to you his experience and the business culture.

Very soon after your arrival, you will attend a half-day presentation of all the departments of the business.

At VINCI Construction France's CESAME training centres, the training focus is on:

  • Adaptation to project-specific issues

Targeted training has been introduced to enable staff to cope with project-specific issues. The first of these, Orchestra, is designed to train all site-management personnel in project preparation and scheduling. This is a core training module for all managers, based on clearly-stated principles and methods of proven effectiveness in optimising the success of works projects.éussir les chantiers.

  • Preventive attitude: the "zero accident" aim.

Safety and risk control are core concerns of VINCI Construction France.

Eighty per cent of work accidents are due to behaviour or organisation; accordingly, since 2007, the Group has undertaken a risk awareness-raising campaign targeting all personnel. The training programme involves: pooling the theory and practice of personal approaches to safety; role-playing games focusing on "knowing when to say no"; progress by learning from mistakes.

At the start of the course, many arrive with pre-conceived certainties, but when the two days are up, attitudes show noticeable change.

  • Les Maîtres Bâtisseurs (Master Builders guild)

Created some 20 years ago, the Maîtres Bâtisseurs guild musters the recognised experience and skills of craftsmen, site managers and engineers, who act as occasional trainers or tutors. Its goal: to promote exchanges between generations, between the youngest and the most experienced.

The Maîtres Bâtisseurs are absorbed in their job and transmit the knowledge to several hundred young people throughout France.
