Project Description
16 divers carried out the clean-up of the discharge pipe of the Vale-Nouvelle Calédonie hydro-metallurgical plant, located in the south island An innovative method proposed by the Noumea Maritime and hyperbaric works Agency was used to treat the 22 km long pipe that was blocked on the last kilometer, causing plant operating issues.
The entire diving operation was carried out at a depth of 40 metres , in a lagoon classified as a UNESCO heritage site.
