Project Description
The dredging site is located at the confluence of the Durance downstream of Avignon between Avignon and Barbentane. Dredging, carried out by VINCI Construction Maritime and Fluvial teams, concerns 5,190 thousand cubic meters of material over 2 km 5 of the confluence. The teams dredged 80,000 m3 of gravel at the dipper pontoon and 500,000 m3 of silt with the stationary suction dredge. The work also aimed to remove Jussie (an invasive aquatic plant) and monitor water quality.
